Fire wood, firelighters an matches are included in the boxes next to the stove
The sauna is a DIY affair - light the stove, close the door, enjoy
Tidy up for the next guests when you leave
Safety
If you feel unwell, go outside immediately
No solo use of the sauna. For safety, all guests must bring a friend.
Never leave the wood-burner door open.
Never put anything other than wood or firelighters inside the burner.
Never block the air under the front door or the hole on the floor.
Never touch the stones, tap or anything above the wood-burner with bare hands.

Hot tips
Keep feeding logs into the stove, leaving plenty of space between them for airflow. Smaller logs will burn faster and hotter.
Using cold water on the coals will make the sauna cold! Add a couple of jugs of water (you can take this from the pool or waterfall) to the kettle above the wood burning stove at the start of your session.
Wait to break a sweat before using the hot water tap to sprinkle hot water onto the coals.
Pouring lots of water on the stove and then opening the door will remove heat from the sauna.
There are two higher hot seats next to the stove in the barrel sauna
The door height of the barrel sauna is reduced to keep the sauna hotter. You must duck to enter.
Stow water bottles on the floor by the door. Cool fresh air is drawn through the gap under the door.
Plunge for as long as you can bear (90 - 120 seconds is ideal). The sensation of entering the sauna after being chilled to the bone is extraordinary
